Organizational Framework

Primary Objective

To enhance the level of civil aviation safety in Jordan through the investigation of aircraft accidents and serious incidents, identification of causal and contributing factors, and issuance of safety recommendations aimed at preventing recurrence, without apportioning blame or determining liability.

Organizational Structure


 

Core Functions

  • Fulfil the Jordan’s obligations relating to aircraft accident investigations under national legislation.

  • Conduct investigations in accordance with national legislations which reflects ICAO Annex 13 to the Convention on International Civil Aviation.

  • Maintain investigator qualifications and competencies.

  • Preserve accident, serious incident, and investigation records in accordance with national requirements.

  • Maintain the national civil aviation occurrence database in support of the State Safety Programme (SSP).
